When Is the Right Time?

When should I do something? When is the best time? These questions often plague my mind, especially when I think about going for a morning walk or simply deciding when to get out of bed.
I wake up at 6:09 am, a few minutes before my alarm goes off at 6:15 am. "Well, I have 6 more minutes," I think, and go back to sleep. Then, after the alarm wakes me up, I might snooze it for 5 more minutes. Sounds familiar?
Then it goes like this: "Okay, I'll start the morning walk at 6:45 am. It's 6:38 now, so I'll wait a couple more minutes."
I'm sure I'm not the only one who procrastinates like this, waiting for the "right time." But is there ever really a perfect time?
Another example is when I delay doing something until I do something else first.
"I'll do my assignment after I clean my desk."
"I'll be more motivated if I buy those gadgets."
"I'll do it on my rest day or the weekend."
"If only I had more free time, I'd accomplish more. Now isn't the perfect time for me. I'm not going to do it."
Does this sound familiar?
In the end, I never really do the things I plan when I set these "pre-required" conditions. I don't do them on my rest day, nor do I use the gadgets I thought would make my work easier.
Guess what? I finally get things done when I decide to do them right away. Right after I think, "I'll do it anyway."
I've read that if you can't do something during your busy schedule and wait for more free time, you probably won't do it even when you have that time. If you wait until you can afford tools to make work easier, chances are, you won't use them as expected.
Procrastination is one of my biggest obstacles to productivity, whether it's self-development or any other task. The more I procrastinate, the further I am from my goals.
Time is ticking. After some contemplation, I've realized there will never be a perfect time to do something. So, I just decided to do it. And... it's done? It's not as hard and complicated as I thought. Does it feel like magic? No, it feels satisfying! When you finally do something you thought required perfect conditions, you see that the biggest challenge is just starting.
This applies to many aspects of life. I don't want my future self living in regret for not doing things I should have done earlier. It's never too late or too early to start because there will never be a perfect time. Just start now.
